Chasing Waterfalls Guide

High Falls

First stop on the tour is High Falls which can be found just off of highway 11 and a few minutes from Downtown. Photographers can often be found here capturing the powerful waterfall as there is opportunity to view the falls both from the top looking over the falls and from the bottom looking up at the cascading water.  Sit on the rocks and enjoy the view. High Falls is the perfect spot to relax after a long drive before continuing on the curated adventure.

Potts Falls

Just off the beaten path from High Falls is Pott’s Falls, a friendly, picturesque waterfall that is worth a visit while at High Falls Park.

Wilson’s Falls

The second waterfall is just a short walk, bike ride, or drive from downtown.  Wilson’s Falls is a breathtaking waterfall on the Muskoka River. Follow the edge of the Muskoka River as the landscape changes from a lush green forest to the exposed rock of the Canadian Shield. The water cascades over the waterfall and the river takes an S-curve at the base of the falls. Depending on the season you visit, the falls will have different water levels providing the opportunity to view the power of the running water or explore the driftwood that was left behind.

Bracebridge Falls

The last stop is to the iconic Bracebridge Falls. The Bracebridge Falls is one of the most famous waterfalls in Bracebridge and the Muskoka region. It can be found just steps from historic Manitoba street. There is a lot of history at these falls, we recommend taking your time to read the many historic information plaques that can be found along the walking trails and surrounding area of the Bracebridge Falls! After you’ve explored the Bracebridge Falls, continue on up the hill where you can find locally owned and operated restaurants, unique shops, craft breweries and curated art galleries.
