Muskoka Arts & Crafts

Muskoka Arts & Crafts is one of the oldest and most well established arts organizations in Ontario, having grown since its inception in 1963 to include a diverse membership and dynamic environment. Muskoka Arts & Crafts has two locations, MAC on Main and the Chapel Gallery. Overlooking the Muskoka River and downtown Bracebridge, the Chapel Gallery is the setting for a wide array of workshops, lectures and other activities while MAC on Main is in the action of Downtown Manitoba St.

The Rene M. Caisse Memorial Theatre was officially opened in 2007 and is named after Rene Caisse, a local cancer nurse credited with formulating Essiac. This theatre offers musical and performing art production. It also offers metropolitan opera performances live in HD.

Rich in history and elegance, Woodchester is a historic octagonal building in Downtown Bracebridge that overlooks the Muskoka River, Bracebridge Falls, and the iconic Silver Bridge. Today, Woodchester is used as a charming community event space. Take a stroll on the grounds; while taking in the beauty of the lush gardens, hardwood trees and the Storybook Trail.

Annex

Annex is a place where you can come to relax, be creative and learn. We are a group of local business owners dedicated to expanding the art world through classes and workshops, events and a place to appreciate local talent. The space can be rented for large and small events, parties and just a really good time. 

Britton Gallery features a diverse selection of historical and contemporary paintings, ranging from the original Group of Seven pieces to the newest works by some of Muskoka’s finest artists. Owned and operated by father and daughter team, Ted and Miranda Britton, the gallery is conveniently located in Downtown Bracebridge and is also the home gallery for Miranda Britton’s handcrafted jewellery collection.

Chancery Art Gallery

Chancery Art Gallery is situated in historic downtown Bracebridge in a 19th century heritage house. Enjoy exclusive paintings of International artists, read your favorite books sitting in an antique rocking chair, listen to the classic or jazz music.

Col Mitchell, through her original technique of pen & ink on sculpted paper she fluidly melds texture with intricately layered lines of colour, creating magical impressions of the beauty and mystery of nature and wildlife. 

Just minutes from downtown Bracebridge, this studio is embraced by tall forest and rugged bedrock, providing an open window to nature. Janice’s work celebrates the colours and textures of the Canadian landscape, capturing the excitement of light, shadow and movement.
