Wilson’s Falls Trail

Located just minutes from Downtown Bracebridge is Wilson’s Falls, a picturesque waterfall on the Muskoka River. Follow the edge of the Muskoka River as the landscape changes from a lush green forest to the exposed rock of the Canadian Shield. The water cascades over the waterfall and the river takes an S-curve at the base of the falls. Depending on the season you visit, the falls will have different water levels providing the opportunity to view the power of the running water or explore the driftwood that was left behind.

Bracebridge Resource Mangagement Centre

The Bracebridge Resource Management Centre is a unique trail system to explore. With 19 kilometres of interesting trails, everyone can find a trail for their level. During the summer, enjoy the many trails designated for hiking and mountain biking and in the winter, this outdoor oasis boasts groomed cross-country ski, snowshoe and fat bike trails. For bikers, there is a mix of double and single track, making these trails perfect for all skill levels.

Strawberry Point Trail

Strawberry Point Tail is a picturesque trail network that takes a diverse route through lowlands, rock cuts, and end with a hilltop view overlooking Lake Muskoka. Sections of this trail interlock with the Trans Canada Trail, allowing you to explore the Brent Cross Conservation Area and popular birdwatching spots along the first section of the trail.

South Monck/ Covered Bridge Trail

South Monck/Covered Bridge Trail is a great family hike that feels as though you are hiking through an enchanted forest. Take in the views of the waterfall below as you walk across wooden bridges and under the tree canopy above.

Downtown Historic Walkway

The Downtown Historic Walkway is a great way to learn about the rich history that surrounds Bracbebridge’s Downtown. The trail guides visitors around Bracebridge Bay with checkpoints to learn about the view in front of you. Any day trip to Downtown Bracebridge should include the Downtown Historic Walkway.

Trans Canada Trail - Bracebridge

The Trans Canada Trail follows through a variety of woods, fields, and country lanes with some hilly sections thrown in for good measure. It passes by many of the areas natural attractions including High Falls and Wilson’s Falls.

From beginners to seasoned paddlers, the Muskoka River is the perfect place to set out on a day trip full of adventure. Explore the many hidden branches of the river the include both portages, and waterfalls.

Bracebridge Bay Park

Bracebridge Bay Park is located in the heart of Bracebridge near the Bracebridge Falls. It is the perfect place to put in your canoe and paddle on down the river or swim from the dock or sandy beach.

Annie Williams Park

Annie Williams Park is located on the south branch of the Muskoka River. Annie Williams Park has ample parking, picnic areas, and a playground. The beach here is small and can be found on the river's grassy slopes. This beach is not monitored.

 
 
 

Bracebridge Falls

These falls are located in the Downtown area at The Silver Bridge and is one of the trademark sights of the community. It empties the water of the North Branch of the Muskoka River down into Bracebridge Bay.

Kirby’s Beach Park

Kirby's Beach is one of the most popular beaches in Bracebridge. Located on Lake Muskoka, Kirby's Beach boasts a sandy beach with plenty of grassy picnic areas and a playground. This shallow beach allows swimmers to wade out metres from shore. Bathroom facilities and ample parking can be found on-site. This park boasts a variety of accessibility features like extended picnic tables, fully accessible washrooms, hard packed pathways to all amenities and an inclusive playground.

Waterfalls

Wilson’s Falls

Located just to the north of the Downtown area off of River Road, Wilson's Falls has a great walking trail which provides a spectacular view of the falls. A picnic area is also available.

Bowyer’s Beach Park

Enjoy the scenic view of Lake Muskoka from Bowyer’s Beach, this is the perfect spot to celebrate the beauty of Muskoka and cool off on a hot day on the sandy beach.

 
 

High Falls

There are five waterfalls located at the High Falls site. These include Pott's Falls, Muskoka Canyon Falls, Little High Falls, Big High Falls and a 5th man-made falls to accommodate the High Falls Water Park. Much of this site is wheelchair accessible. It is situated on the Trans-Canada Trail System, High Falls is an ideal spot to stop and enjoy the view.
